Who I am

My name is Robin Wilson, and I’m the owner of a small art business based in Goldsboro, NC, where I’ve lived for the past twenty-nine years. Originally from Greenville, I’ve always had a deep connection to the water, having spent summers on the Pungo River near Belhaven and with family just outside of Bath. My love for the water, especially the memories of being at the river or the beach, continues to inspire my art today.

I began my creative journey five years ago when I wanted a watercolor painting of my home but couldn’t find anyone who could create one for me. What started as a personal project quickly grew into a passion for painting—and eventually, a small business. In addition to my watercolor paintings, I have also developed a unique craft using oyster shells, a medium that holds a special place in my heart. Collecting them with my family has been a cherished experience, and I love turning them into beautiful, meaningful art pieces.

Although I still work full-time as an Instructional Technology Facilitator, and have spent 14 years teaching first and second grade before moving into high school, painting has become a therapeutic outlet for me. It’s a way to connect with the memories of my childhood while expressing my creativity.

I’m thrilled to share my art and hope it brings a sense of joy and nostalgia, just as it does for me when I create it.
